The app runs entirely on free virtual Play Chips, with no real money involved at any stage.
Unlike some free poker apps, CoinPoker Play For Fun has a bot-free player pool, meaning every hand is played against real people, not automated accounts.
Players can download the app, sign up, and join cash games or multi-table tournaments (MTTs) without creating an account or entering card details.
Game Formats Available On The App
The app offers five poker formats, all played with free Play Chips:
- Texas Hold’em (NLH): The standard Hold’em format and the app’s most-played game.
- Pot Limit Omaha (PLO): A four-hole-card variant with larger pots and additional decisions.
- All-In or Fold (AOF): A fast format in which each hand is a single push-or-fold decision.
- Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs): Daily events that can involve thousands of players.
The app has several features to enhance gameplay, such as celebrations for impressive poker hands, tournament wins, and leaderboards.
How CoinPoker Free-to-Play Works
CoinPoker Play For Fun uses Play Chips, a virtual currency that costs nothing. The app requires no deposits, wallets, or real-money transactions.
Players can replenish their chip balance through the 25,000-chip Hourly Bonus and the 100,000-chip Daily Bonus, as well as from missions, challenges, and weekly leaderboards.
Each hand played earns Reward Points automatically. Points can be exchanged in the in-app Reward Store for chips, tournament tickets, in-game items, and more.
The experience can be customized for players with different table designs, plus colors and styles for the playing cards. Settings for buy-ins, sounds, hand strength indicators, and many other details can also be adjusted at the table.
Free-to-Play Considerations for Players
The company positions the free-to-play poker model as a no-barrier way to play casually, learn different games, and never experience pressure to spend money during the process.
Key characteristics of free poker include:
- No money at stake: Because games use virtual chips, which refill hourly and daily for free, there is no financial cost to playing.
- High quality poker software: The kind of application usually reserved for real money poker, but completely free to access and use indefinitely.
- A practice environment: The format can suit players learning the game or testing strategy without financial consequences.
- A shared player pool: Matchmaking draws on a global community across skill levels.
- Points-based progression: Advancement comes from Reward Points, daily bonuses, and leaderboards rather than purchases.
“Poker doesn’t have any barriers with a free-to-play app, but still has every aspect that makes this one of the most popular skill-based games in the world.” said a representative of CoinPoker Free to Play.
